Uploading Custom Single-Page, Double-Page Layouts

If you're uploading your own custom layouts into the MILK Design Studio, please follow the below measurements and guidelines to ensure the best print result.

Note: When creating layouts for any format that supports full bleed spreads, please ensure double-page spreads are designed and uploaded as spreads and not as two single pages. Only the first and last pages can be uploaded as single pages.

Please export your images as high resolution JPG/JPEG files at 300dpi+ (at the final size), for upload into the MILK Books Design Studio. The color space should be sRGB with profile embedded. Our workflow also supports wide gamut profiles including AdobeRGB and ProPhoto RGB.

We've determined that images over 300dpi match the print result of higher resolution images in quality and no visible improvement can be detected. Extremely large image files over 300dpi may also slow performance, therefore we do not recommend uploading images higher than 300dpi at the spread or page size into our design studio.

To check the DPI of your images at the final size, you can use the image quality tool in the Design Studio. You can see more about this tool here.
